We are conveniently located about one mile off of Route 58, between Jungle Jamz Playcafe and Cannabist, and across from the Suffolk Golf Course. Our address is 1238 Holland Rd, Suite 109, Suffolk VA, 23434.
Hours of operation vary- the studio will be open for class times and then closed during non-class times. However, there will also be "community hours" in which you are free to swing by, check the space out, meet whichever teacher is there, ask questions, etc. Outside of those community hours, please either call us at 757-353-1579, email us at theyogaroomllc757@gmail.com, or send a message in the form below with any questions and we will get back with you.
What is the cancellation and No-Show policy?
We understand that life happens and plans can change. If you are unable to attend a class, please cancel your reservation before the class start time. There is no penalty for cancellations made before class begins. However, for planning purposes, we greatly appreciate cancellations made at least 2 hours before class whenever possible.
To help us honor our teachers' time and ensure class availability for our community, the following no-show policy applies when a student reserves a class but neither attends nor cancels before the scheduled start time:
One (1) no-show will be forgiven per billing cycle.
Additional no-shows within the same billing cycle will incur a $10 no-show fee.
Three (3) no-shows will be forgiven during the 6-month validity period of each class pack.
After these grace allowances have been used, each additional no-show will incur a $10 no-show fee.
No-shows are not eligible for a refund.
If an emergency prevents you from attending and canceling before the class start time, please reach out to us. While exceptions cannot be guaranteed, we understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise and will review requests on a case-by-case basis.
Thank you for helping us create a respectful, supportive, and considerate community for all.
What do I wear to The Yoga Room?
As long as your clothing supports movement, wear what is comfortable to you. However, a top and bottoms of some sort is required.
What if I'm running late?
To honor the focus and energy of each class, studio doors will lock promptly at the scheduled start time. Once class begins, we are unable to admit late arrivals, and any student who arrives after the start of class will be considered a no-show.
If you realize you won't make it on time, please cancel your reservation before class starts. There is no penalty for cancellations made prior to the scheduled class time, though we greatly appreciate as much notice as possible.
Students who reserve a class but neither attend nor cancel before the scheduled start time are also considered no-shows and are subject to our No-Show Policy.
Thank you for your understanding as we maintain a calm, uninterrupted environment that supports both our students and teachers.
Should I arrive early?
Arriving 10-15 minutes prior to the class start time is ideal. This gives you time to settle in, and prepare your space for practice. The teacher will begin promptly at the start time.
Can I do it if I'm not flexible?
You sure can! The practice will increase your body awareness and can help improve flexibility over time (as well as strength and mobility too)!
What should I bring?
A mat and water bottle is encouraged, as well as any other personal props you'd like to bring. However, there are complimentary mats and props available for you to use at the studio.
What if I need to leave early?
Let the teacher know before class if you need to leave early. We just ask that it's before the teacher begins winding the class down for the final resting pose (Savasana).
What are the etiquette guidelines?
Please remove your shoes upon entering, avoid strong fragrances, and keep phones silenced and preferably out of the practice space. We greatly appreciate it!!
I see you're next to Cannabist, is there a smell in the studio?
Not even a little bit! :)
